Fun apps for personal use. I didnt find much of an application for work. Perhaps if attending a conference and sending some quick snaps back it could apply.
I wrote the content for this Thing and even I found it hard to think about how they could be used in a library setting. Instagram may work best for that idea -- could be helpful in capturing some candid shots of participants and quickly loading them to your FB page or twitter feed. I've used it for the conference idea as you mentioned above.
